Fear of failure

Fear of failure. I have one.

I admire athletes that want the ball with two seconds on the clock. The boldness, the confidence, and the sheer desire to succeed over any fears is astonishing to me.

I wrote notes for this post months and months ago, and just re-read them today. There is a beauty in the raw thoughts....

Hope

life is good

working for the lord and not for men
anxious, humbling, afraid to fail or disappoint clients
afraid to lose closeness w/ friends
afraid to fail in god's work
not about me
comfort in knowing i'm w/n your will
and it's your work not mine
and you drew me here
you have given plenty of underqualified people jobs to do

Lord, in this work, let me stay within your will, and grant me wisdom to know it. Let me remember that I am qualified because I am yours. Let me be afraid of nothing, instead have the boldness, confidence, desire to go forth and succeed in your eyes.
