Friendship

Below is a portion of the best thank you note I never got. I said not to send one, but got one in email instead. This blog reflects what God reveals to me, usually in more humble ways. Today was an encouragement and a huge expression of his love. It resulted in good, wet, warm tears. No, thank you.

i never get to sit down and let you know what a wonderful person you are, so i'm taking this opportunity. you are one of my most favorite people in the whole world! i literally thank god all the time for giving me the gift of your friendship through our cuties. this is going to sound cheezy and/or creepy, but i just knew the first time i saw you in square one that we would be friends. i remember looking up at you at the same time you looked at me and we clicked, about what, i have no idea anymore since it wasn't like i was sleeping back then, but i distinctly remember it. when i think back to some of my best and worst times as a mom, you are there, either sharing in the joy with me or picking me up when i feel like a horrible person. i love how we can be ridiculously silly and still have plenty of deep conversations. i love your honesty and your willingness to help a sista out. you have so many gifts that you freely share with others. i feel like i have learned how to be more comfortable in my skin because of you and i truly appreciate that since that has always been an area i have struggled in.
i can't think of enough positive, appropriate adjectives to describe you. i honestly do consider our friendship a gift from god and i hope you realize just how awesome you really are :)
