Heaven on Earth

I took my baby boy to a children's concert recently. He absolutely loved it.
He raised his hands, clapped, cheered, jumped, danced, and sang during the entire thing without stopping. Tears came to my eyes a few times seeing how happy and joyful he was.
~~~
I still grapple with Revelation, and the picture of Heaven that is painted there. I know it will be spectacular, but I just can't wrap my head around it.
I believe there will be singing and worship:
"Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: 'To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!'"
Revelation 5:13
I believe there will be peace and service and eternity:
"No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever." Revelation 22:3-5
And I do believe it will be wonderful. But the creative type in me that craves variety thinks it sounds a little on the boring side.Then, I remembered my little boy at the concert.
He wasn't the least bit bored, and could have danced and sang for hours.
It was a pure, simple expression of joy that just poured right out of him...
a little picture of Heaven right here on earth.
Thank you God for that sweet little boy and for painting me another beautiful picture of what is to come. That's a picture I can live with (wink wink) and I can only imagine it's even much better than that.
