Getting Clean

I didn't shower first thing this morning. As the first few waking hours passed, I felt more and more filthy. Getting clean is an important part of my day, and I hope to make it even more important after today...
When I finally took a shower, I realized what an incredible reminder this cleansing ritual is. With each shower (or bath), I will take a moment, letting the busy-ness of the day be on hold for a few moments and allowing myself to be spiritually cleansed.
For me, it looks like this...
Feel the dirt and filth of yesterday wash away...
Ask forgiveness for those things if you haven't already,
allowing yourself to be completely cleansed of it.
The Lord spilled over us His own blood, becoming the most powerful shower head we could imagine. He cleans even the hardest to reach places and whitens the darkest of stains...all our sin.
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.'
Lamentations 3:22-23
Rinse and repeat.

Sundee, it was good to meet you yesterday at Lindsey's. I have been "stalking" your other blog and drifted over here today. Great photos and insight on scripture.
Excellent. It so incompasses much of what we talked about tonight. I needed to hear this. Thank you & good night.
Sundee, I just saw this link on your other blog today. What a beautiful picture of spiritual cleansing. God used you to encourage my heart today. Thanks!
