From Holey to Holy

I love this leaf. Looking at it reminds me how I get at times... eaten up, dried up, barely together. Holey.

You know how it happens? We think we know best how to live in this crazy world, seeking acceptance, material things, and control. And where has it gotten us? Eaten up, dried up, barely together. Holey.
Dead wrong. That's what we are.
'There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death.'
Proverbs 14:12
God doesn't hate us in our holey-ness, as that's the state we're often in when we finally come to Him. And, He's been there all along, heart aching, ready and yearning to love and accept us. Pretty great Father, eh?

This same Father, through His only Son,
filled all of our holes, past, present, and future.

'God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.'
2 Corinthians 5:21
And He also sent us a helper to live inside us, guide us and prevent future holes. So today, let the Holy spirit guide you
and may your holey-ness be replaced with His holiness.

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do
